These new alphabet tote bags from Keep Calm are so pretty and simple. I really like them.(P.S. Is it weird that I'm already thinking about Christmas gifts? I can't wait to do another gift guide!)

I love Swissmiss, and her house is just as warm and friendly as she is! See all the photos over on Design*Sponge...
I've always feel kind of awkward wearing scarves around my head, but I love this look.
Also, isn't this flower pin fun? It's made from a recycled t-shirt. I think the pretty Parisian girl above might like it.
Yesterday, my brother, Alex and I rented a pick-up truck and drove to the new Brooklyn IKEA. It was so much fun! I loved walking through their fake living rooms and bedrooms, and we got these awesome blue and white curtains. Why is IKEA always such an adventure?
What are you up to this weekend? Alex and I are having dinner with Abbey and her husband tonight and then will "knock around" (as Alex says) for the rest of the weekend. I can't wait to just relax and do nothing! For your viewing pleasure, here are a few great posts from other blogs this week...
It's easy to be overly critical of our bodies, so today on Smitten I asked, What's your favorite body part? Everyone's answers have been so inspiring! It's so nice to take a moment to recognize how beautiful and amazing we all are.
Have you seen Deanna and Jesse's genius brunch wedding -- complete with a tandem bike! Bonus: It was $6,000 (which in today's day and age, is considered quite low). Check it all out on Snippet & Ink.
I'm getting excited to wear...thick scarves. cable-knit sweaters. wool pants. polka-dot tights. rain boots. silk flowers. Aren't you?
This week's giveaway is this adorable Ana Ventura printed tape from the online design shop Twig. I love the dancing characters -- they'd add such a fun kick to any packages!
Inspired by the books section of Cooper Hewitt's National Design Triennial, I recently started looking more closely at book design. Here are some amazing covers from the last few years. Note how the type treatment can help set the tone and tell the story...(Which do you like, dear readers?)

At my birthday dinner last year, my friend Chris brought up this interesting tidbit: If people had to choose between being loved OR being respected, almost all men would choose to be respected (but unloved) and almost all women would choose to be loved (but not respected). We went around the table, and all our friends fell on those sides. Fascinating. You guys, too?
My dolls, I'm taking a little break from blogging this week. Just for fun, though, I'll be re-posting some old posts that you may not have seen, so please still visit daily. Also, there will be an awesome GIVEAWAY on Wednesday!
This weekend, Alex and I swung by Target. He bought a basketball, and I got a cute pair of black flats for only $25. (Yay!)
Have you guys seen Rita Konig's apartment in the new issue of Domino? How does she make such a teeny apartment have such a big personality? I love her French flea market look -- and her heart bedsheets! The house tour isn't online yet, but I did find these adorable photos from a year ago, including a photo display (above) and an illustrated fireplace (below)...The girl has taste!
As we kick off the weekend, here are some of the best of the blogs this week....
My dears, I just wanted to say that I am having a very rough day.
There is a lovely fall chill in the air today, so it's the perfect time to think about cozy hats! This week's giveaway is this adorable slouchy red hat with a pink bow from Monica Burnett. The best part? The hat is handmade from a vintage wool sweater!
This pretty Parisian's fiery locks match the autumn leaves. Isn't she beautiful? (Also a redhead explosion on Smitten)

My love for home-tour website The Selby just grows and grows. Check out the cuter-than-cute house of Christina and Swaim Hutson, the designers of Obedient Sons & Daughters. Their place just oozes life, love, babies, puppies....and pastel tutus! I'm so inspired, aren't you?

I'm so sleepy today and I feel like all the photos I'm coming across are of people sleeping. It's either a coincidence or a sign, but I'm off to take a nap.
